We’re pleased to announce that the work of Flippin’ Pain is now recognised and endorsed by two major organisations in the pain management field!
The British Pain Society (BPS) is one of the UK’s oldest and largest organisations within the field of pain. Members of the organisation come from a range of professional backgrounds, and work collaboratively with patients to increate understanding and management of pain.
Roger Knaggs, President of The British Pain Society, said: “Flippin’ Pain is working to increase awareness of chronic pain and has reached tens of thousands of people over the last couple of years with its campaigns. Its key messages dispel commonly held beliefs and myths about chronic pain.’
The European Pain Federation (EFIC) is a similar not for profit organisation on an even bigger scale, consisting of over 20,000 physicians, nurses, scientists, psychologists, physiotherapists, and other health care professionals involved in pain medicine.
Richard Pell, Flippin’ Pain’s Campaign Director said: “Being endorsed by these two great organisations is an honour, and testament to the hard work and passion of the many health professionals and people with lived experience who have supported the campaign in the past few years.
“We’re looking forward to collaborating to bring better understanding and better outcomes for even more people affected by persistent pain”.
