Stress is a big problem in the UK today.
According to the Stress Awareness Society, 79% of adults experience stress at least once a month, with 74% feeling overwhelmed or unable to cope at some point in the past year.
We all know that there’s not just one source of stress and it can show up differently in each of us. But stress can contribute to persistent pain: something that our writer Sashira found out about her own pain.
You can read Sashira’s story on our ‘Real Stories’ page, where she talks about how she flipped not only her understanding of pain, but of stress and trauma too. Her reflection on this difficult but useful journey is a powerful one.
